Michael,
Thanks for your 20-year update report. What a great record! You've made a wonderful contribution to the life of birds at Marymoor and this has enriched the birding community in this area.
We at Eastside Audubon owe you a special debt of gratitude.
The data that you gathered over the years was instrumental in helping the chapter obtain the grant from King County Parks and Recreation which was used to create the Audubon BirdLoop. I definitely agree with you that recording longitudinal data at a particular place provides a richness of information about the life of birds.
The monthly work parties that contributed to the development of the BirdLoop have been a focus for the chapter's habitat preservation and restoration efforts for over seven years now. We also appreciate your sharing your bird data and ideas to help develop the network of interpretive signs along the trails.
Your work in representing Eastside Audubon on the board of Friends of Marymoor Park has helped the chapter maintain a presence in decision making affecting conservation work in the park and protecting bird habitat.
It is also good to know that you along with Pete Marshall and Linda Sue Thompson of Eastside Audubon are working together on the Willowmoor Project to preserve the Sammimish Slough waterway as the great habitat that it is for many species of birds.
We are also grateful that you use your personal lawnmower to keep the grass down along the East Meadow Trail keeping it open for birders and walkers.
The name Michael Hobbs has become synonymous with birds at Marymoor Park.
I think I speak for everyone at Eastside Audubon in wishing you many more years of happy and productive birding at Marymoor Park.

Tweets ? on March 31, 1994, I made my first visit to Marymoor Park for the
year. It was the 23rd time I?d birded Marymoor. Starting in 1990, I?d made
a few visits each year in April and May, with a couple of March visits in
1993, a couple of June visits in 1992, and one January visit in 1991.
