As I started out toward the seed-feeders out front, I thought I spotted a couple of imm. or female Purple Finches hanging on branches next to the feeder that had two crossbills - it turned out to be two juv. Red Crossbills - which the adult male fed while I watched.

Out back, FOY Black-headed Grosbeaks - first a female, then a male visited a seed feeder.
