I was taking a nap yesterday and when I woke up my wife said "There was
a bird I didn't recognize on the feeder while you were sleeping, it had
a black face, white underparts and black streaks on its side". I had to
wait until late today for it to return, and saw that it was indeed what
I suspected is the Harris's Sparrow that has been present since late
December and has now molted into breeding plumage. Here are a few pictures:
