Tweeters, A breeding plumaged Brown Pelican has been hanging out in the
tailrace of Bonneville Dam the past couple of days. This morning, the
bird was feeding below the Corner Collector (large concrete juvenile
bypass flume) that ends at the tip of Cascade Island which is between
the spillway and the second (north) powerhouse. During the time I
watched it, the bird stayed on the Washington (Skamania County) side of
the river. This is certainly not a usual species for this county,
