Sunday afternoon I saw a pair of Yellow-headed Blackbird at West Rocky Prairie Wildlife
Area (Thurston County, northwest of Tenino). They were in the White Oak - Douglas-fir
mixed woodland between the very northeast part of the big willow swamp and Powder
Plant Road. No particular behavior - they were just moving through the upper canopy.
If any of the few of you who visit West Rocky have seen Yellow-heads here in the past, I
would appreciate hearing of your sightings.
