Made a stop at Washington Pass yesterday thinking there might be
Gray-crowned Rosy Finches and found the usual Gray Jays and singing Mt
Chickadees and a Pine Grosbeak singing from the top of a tree on the road
towards the overlook. No rosy finches though. Also stopped at the Ross Lake
overlook (the west one with the Desolation Lookout sign) and head a Sooty
Grouse, well we assume it was a Sooty. I know there was a discussion a
couple years ago about the birds in the Ross Lake area and wonder if anyone
has seen Dusky Grouse there?
