Hello, this the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Wednesday May 21. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On May 18 a HUDSONIAN GODWIT was at Baskett Slough NWR. Reports from
southeast Oregon during the week noted a BROAD-WINGED HAWK at Buchanon,
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER at Malheur Headquarters, BLACK-THROATED BLUE
WARBLER, OVENBIRD, and GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE at Fields, and a possible nest
pair of MOCKINBIRDS along Hwy 205 near the Diamond Junction. On May 17 a
possible WHITE IBIS was reported flying over Page Springs Campground.

On May 16 two BLACK SWIFTS were at Cascade Head. On May 19 seven were
Lincoln City and 14 were at the North Spit of Coos Bay. Migrant NIGHTHAWKS
were seen May 20 at Cap Adair and near Lebanon.

On May 18 a SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER was photographed at Yaquina Bay. Seven
WHITE-FACED IBIS were over Lincoln City May 19. A large raft of WESTERN
GREBES are now on the ocean off Lincoln City. At least one CLARK?S GREBE is
among them. On May 15 a BLACK-CHINNED HUMMINGBIRD was reported from the
Cannon Beach Sewage Ponds.

On May 17 an AVOCET was at Ridgefield NWR. A MOCKINGBIRD was at St. Helens
May 18. A SWAINSON?S HAWK was near Newberg May 19. On May 15 two AVOCETS, a
WHIMBREL, and four BLACK-NECKED STILTS were at Baskett Slough NWR. A BANK
SWALLOW was there May 19. On May 20 a SANDHILL CRANE was at Fern Ridge
Reservoir.

On May 15 a male REDSTART was at Rhinehart Bridge near Elgin.
