Saturday morning, 5/24/14, at Discovery Park in Seattle, a WHIMBREL landed on South Beach about 9am (during low tide). After a few minutes, it flew south, and then 2 minutes later a DUNLIN and a SANDERLING, each in breeding plumage, landed together and fed alongside several CASPIAN TERNS.

Earlier, along the top of the Hidden Valley Trail, a few SWAINSON'S THRUSHES were singing, along with a couple of WILSON'S WARBLERS and ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS.

About 10:15am, along the northwest edge of the south parking lot, an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER sang its "Quick, 3 beers" song from the top of a conifer.
