I enjoyed some quality birding in my small Battle Ground, Clark County yard
this morning with the following:

Yellow Warbler 1
Orange-crowned Warbler 1
Wilson's Warbler 2
Black-throated Gray Warbler 2 (the first ones for about 5 weeks or so)
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
NASHVILLE WARBLER 1 (my first for the yard. I was very surprised since
this seems very late for a migrant)
Warbling Vireo 1
Lazuli Bunting 1
Belted Kingfisher (FOY-yard)
Swainson's Thrush 1
Band-tailed Pigeon 2
ZERO flycatchers and tanagers

The Cedar Waxwing flock has increased to 30. There are at least 8+ of both
Purple Finch and Black-headed Grosbeak. 2 Lesser Goldfinches seen daily. A
Red-breasted Sapsucker flies back and forth over the yard presumably from
feeding area to its nest site.

I was actually looking for Black Swifts this morning and came up with the
usual number. The other 5 species I was looking for also came up on the
shy side of 1.

In retrospect, I should have known that it would be good today since
migration through my yard tends to pick up when there are showers in the
area with fairly good weather due south. The weather radar showed a
perfect setup for this.

Keep your eyes and ears skyward.
