Last weekend the 51st Annual Wenas Audubon Campout was held. My wife,
daughter and I had a great time. This was our second time attending. Lots of
great birds were seen in and around the camp and on hikes around the Wenas
Valley. As of Sunday night about 122 species had been seen by the group in
the three days.

Wilson Cady likes to say, where else can you be guaranteed a free campsite
on Memorial Day weekend in Washington.

A good variety of activities for birders, kids and non-birders. If you
haven't been or want to know more you can look at the website for the event.
It is schedule every year for Memorial Day Weekend. The website address is

I posted several pictures here from the Wenas area plus stops on the way
home at Oak Creek and Bethel Ridge.
