Hi Tweeters,

After yesterday's epic day at Neah Bay, I decided to return home through
South Bend today (11/2/14) and try for a second lifer in as many days. I
arrived there just before noon in a steady rain and no target gull
behind Jolly Rogers Espresso. Following Alan Richards post from a couple
days ago I went to the small Robert Bush Park next door to Hilton's Coast
Seafood. It consists of a parking lot, a small patch of grass and a nice
dock. From the corner of the dock nearest Hilton's and farthest out in the
river I found the BLACK-HEADED GULL. It was between the pilings that
support the system for unloading shellfish from the boats taking advantage
of spilled goodies. Also present was a BONAPARTE'S GULL and many larger
gulls.
It's been a long time since I've had lifers on back-toback days in WA.
