Dear Tweeters,
I saw a very late (alive, not dead, ha!) Osprey fishing on the Yakima River near Ellensburg on Sunday, Nov 2 at around noon. The bird was just downstream of where the Yakima crosses beneath I-90 and then rejoins the highway on the south side. The warm Fall (we haven?t had a frost in Ellensburg yet) and ice-free river have likely contributed to good fishing for him/her. Also of note, there has been a Swan, unidentified to species, in the pond north of the westbound exit ramp for exit 85 in Cle Elum. The (A) Swan has been present in this pond since at least (10/19).
