Snowy Egret was seen by Ryan Abe, Les Carlson and myself from about 11:45 to noon twice. It was not visible for at least 20 minutes prior. The lake is about 250 yards out from the parking lot and access is restricted. There were also at least a dozen Great Egrets. When the birds are on the far bank of the lake they can be seen. They were flying back and forth between the close lake bank and the far side. When they are on the near side the birds are not visible.

So if you show up and don't seen anything they could be hidden by the near side lake bank so patience may pay off. I was able to get some ID photos of the bird showing the black bill with yellow lores and we saw the yellow toes in flight.

Good birding to all.

There is a Snowy Egret at Post Office Lake now 10am. End of Lower River Road, visible from the parking lot. My camera is sitting at home so somebody bring one.
