I volunteer at Seattle Audubon, and this afternoon I got a call from some
birders visiting from Michigan who report seeing an Emperor Goose in Ocean
Shores. They sent some photos, in which the goose looks like a juvenile
almost finished molting into adult plumage. Here are the details they sent
for a Tweeters post:

.we first saw the bird about 2 weeks ago. We last saw him on Friday. Our
first sighting was a week prior.

The bird was seen on the eastern side of Damon point in Ocean Shores. Just
keep following the shoreline past where you start to get more of the grass
and trees around the little bay area. He was in a little pool at low tide
the first time we saw him. The second time was along the shore where a
larger sand area is exposed at low tide. Sorry, not good at giving
directions, but it is not even half way out to the end of the spit.

The one who sent me the photos is named Meta Bray. I have a phone number if
anyone would like to contact them.
