Today I visited two Hotspots, Sikes Lake & Westside Park. My patience was awarded at the former when after nearly an hour, I
spied a brown blob in an adjacent field. It was a juvenile Golden Eagle tootling around. It then flew across the lake to some close
by trees where it called several times. Then to Redmond, where the Acorn Woodpecker is still showing off. It was on the park?s
north end in a park tree. Both beautiful birds.
