hi:
i have mixed emotions about bird feeders, and attracting bears to the
neighborhood is not high on my list of great ideas either. that said, it
is comforting to see a couple of chunky rufous hummers coming to the nectar
feeder in the light snows of north bend this snowy novemeber morning. the
hummiers are about as puffy bodied as a little guy can get right now. even
in the dark and overcast there are glimpses of bright red heads now and
then.

kinda neat.
