After numerous futile searches this fall through the blackbird/starling/cowbird flocks that hang out in the vicinity of Maple View Farm, I finally located another female Rusty Blackbird. It had reddish tones on the back and back of the head, a light buffy/ grey breast, yellow iris, and a very light superciliary line bordered underneath by a rather dark mask. It was colored a bit differently from the female found there last winter, but perhaps that can be attributed to maturing?
