Kevin Steiner spotted a Turkey Vulture sunning on a snag near the northern edge of the Enumclaw Plateau yesterday around 11 am. It flew to the south and was soon followed by 41 more, with half of them forming a kettle in an updraft before peeling away to the south after the others.
I accidentally flushed a Northern Pygmy Owl from the ground in the yard at 6:30 pm yesterday evening.
A House Wren spent much of September in the yard.
