A few weeks ago, I wrote to inquire whether anyone here in Eastern
Lewis County had seen Juncos or song sparrows lately because I had not
seen any for months. However, last week a few of them reappeared, but
only a few, and they are around only a short time each day. Could it be
all the berries ripening here now that are distracting them from my
feeders?!

Also, there have been woodpeckers at the suet this week: Flickers and
Downy Woodpeckers both. They are the only birds that the Stellers do
not try to chase away.
