At Crooked Knee Lake south of Sprague, a flock of Greater White-fronted Geese landed for 10 minutes and then took off again. Also present were many Canvasback and a pair of Redhead.
At the south end of Rock Lake I found an American Pipit and a Red-necked Grebe mixed in with the Westerns. It was nice to see a large covey of Gray Partridge (+15 birds) less then 1/2mi into Miller Home Place Rd (Rock Lake Rd side)
Don't know how but 7 Hepburn's Gray-crowned Rosy-finches held on in the gale force winds near the top of Steptoe Butte. I saw the flock twice within 0.6mi of the top. At the base of the butte around the restroom the most notable "sighting" other than a Golden-crowned Kinglet were the massive amounts of fallen apples (with no takers).
