Hello Tweets,
Earlier this evening I was exiting the freeway near Alderwood mall when I
noticed a Western Meadowlark flush from the Interurban Trail which runs
parallel to the freeway. Now, Meadowlark's are not particularly rare in
Snohomish county, but Lynnwood is pretty devoid of habitat so it was an
interesting sight. I ended up relocating the bird on foot and it was flying
around in the wind looking pretty confused about where it should be.

It was a good day for spotting unusual animals from off-ramps for me,
actually. This morning there was a deer next to the NE 85th St exit in
Kirkland.
