Yesterday, September first, at about 0800 I observed a cormorant on a piling at Titlow Park here in Tacoma. It was wearing a silver-colored band on the right leg and a much larger, yellow one on the left leg. A very clear inscription on the yellow band read EP 5.
Is this bird an escapee or a subject in a scientific study of some kind?
