Hi All -

Had a good day birding the Skagit Flats and Whidbey Island. Notable birds
listed below:

Skagit Game Range
1 juv Stilt Sandpiper with yellowlegs and dowitchers on the first pond
1 flyover Pacific Golden-Plover
passerines were slower than I'd hoped

Jensen Access
19 Pectoral Sandpipers
3 Horned Larks in the ploughed field on the entrance road

Channel Drive
3 Bank Swallows

Hastie Lake Road - Whidbey Island
1 Cassin's Auklet - very surprised to see this bird floating around on
glass calm water with Pigeon Guillemots not too far off shore. There were
several Marbled Murrelets around as well.

Crockett Lake
Plenty of shorebirds in the northeast corner but I couldn't find the old
trail to get out there and trekking across the mud did not seem smart.
There were lots of peeps, yellowlegs, and a few Pecs but I couldn't make
out much.

Good birding,

Sam
