Hi Tweeters and OBOL,

I was surprised to have an immature RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER briefly perch near
my Battle Ground, Clark County, Washington back deck and then fly through
the yard this morning. Although Yellow-bellied could not be 100% ruled
out, odds were in favor of Red-naped. I wonder if yesterday's mega wind
blew the sapsucker over from the east side?

I turned the water feature on and immediately birds came in as follows:

Western Tanager: 4
Warbling Vireo: 3
Willow Flycatcher: 2
Black-headed Grosbeak: 1
Yellow Warbler: 3
Black-throated Gray Warbler: 1
Cedar Waxwing: 2
Swainson's Thrush: 2
Song Sparrow: 3
Spotted Towhee: 2

I didn't hear any nocturnal migration last night probably because I was
asleep all night.

Keep your eyes and ears skyward

Jim
