This evening I spooked a female NORTHERN GOSHAWK out of a small tree next to our house on Mt. Pleasant, Skamania County. We get a couple of these birds a year here, usually they are attracted by the Band-tailed Pigeons at the feeders but this time the large numbers of Robins, Hermit and Varied Thrushes stripping our Mt. Ash trees may have been the lure. It glided into the woods instead of ripping across the sky. Wilson Cady
