A gentle reminder to everyone regarding access to West Point and the beaches of Discovery Park. Vehicle access is only allowed with a permit available from the Discovery Park Visitor Center. These free, 3 hour permits are available for seniors 62 and older, families with children 8 and under, and physical handicapped persons with a valid Washington State decal. All others must walk. The walking access is quickest and closest from the South Parking Lot off of Emerson.
