Just a quick update. There was a Greater Yellowlegs (code 3) in the Edmonds
marsh this morning, along with three continuing Dunlin (code 3) in
alternate plumage. A second Turkey Vulture (code 3) was along the
waterfront Monday morning. There were also Monday sightings of an Osprey
(code 2) and a single Caspian Tern (code). The tern was seen again this
morning.

The 350 or so Brants continue to forage near shore and offshore. In the far
offshore waters this morning there were at least 200 Western Grebes. Six
Harlequin Ducks were at rest on the logs tethered in the underwater park,
seen from Sunset Avenue. Black Scoters and Pacific Loons continue north of
the underwater park. Surf Scoter numbers have greatly diminished. Horned
and Red-necked Grebes can be seen in alternate plumage.
