hi all ... with Bob F's great finds along the Tarbell Trail yesterday (Clark Co., Wa.), Gene and I headed out there today ... or at least we tried ... unfortunately the map we were using didn't quite match the road markers which were actually out there ... so we drove around alot and finally decided on "Plan B" ... we'd never seen any of the falls on the East Fork Lewis River so we went out to Sunset Falls, Moulton Falls, and Lucia Falls ... bird-wise there were PLENTY of singing Pacific Wrens, a Dipper, and a Raven, plus a few odds and ends ... however my "lifer" was a "life event" and not a bird ... I had NEVER seen Salmon jumping up a falls !!!!! ... they were jumping at Lucia Falls ... very impressive ... of the maybe 10 we saw jump we only saw one make it ... I could have sat there and watched for hours but unfortunately had to head back into town ...

two pix ...
