Tweets, the county gravel pit in Rainier (approx 300 133rd Ave SE) hosts at
least one pair of BANK SWALLOWs. Also present on Thursday: at least one
pair of N ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWs, as well as CLIFF and VIOLET-GREEN. Several
LEAST SANDPIPER and a GR YELLOWLEGS foraged in the associated ponds.
Unfortunately the adjoining property to the east, a nice mix of oak, fir,
and brush that supports a diversity of species, is being developed. Good
birding!
