I was away on a trip all last week, and had no computer access. It wasn't mainly a birding trip, but of course I bird as I go along on any trip. Now, back home, going over my notes, I come across an episode I had forgotten. In Zillah (Yakima County), at that little park with the "juvenile fishing pond," I was watching a flock of House Finches, and saw that one of the males was the rare yellow morph, which i had previously only heard of in Hawaii.
