The good word today is the Western's have arrived and 2 red-necked phalarope. I began at Ridgefield NWR, River S Unit, this morning looking for shorebirds and found the following.

Bull Lake - N
Greater yellowlegs 5
Lesser yellowlegs 3
Killdeer 8
Wilson's snipe 1

Long Lake
Western sandpiper 3
Least sandpiper 24
Killdeer 28
Greater yellowlegs 9
Long-billed dowitcher 5
Lesser yellowlegs 6
Spotted sandpiper 2 (one in canal)

I then went to Frenchman's Bar where the wind blew steadily and made detection a chore I had 37 species highlights are
Yellow warbler 4
Black throated-gray warbler 16
Orange-crowned warbler 1
Wilson's warbler 2
Warbling vireo 1
Pacific sloped flycatcher 1
Dusky flycatcher 1
American white pelican 2 flybys
I also had atleast 5 warblers flying at tree top that I could not get on to id.

I visited Shillipoo Lake next and noted the following.

Spotted sandpiper 1
Red-necked phalarope 2
Least sandpiper 2
Western sandpiper 4
Coopers hawk 1
Greater yellowlegs 1
Yellow-headed blackbird 1

I returned to Ridgefield NWR, River S Unit
