Thanks to Bob Flores I found 3 of the 5 Rock Wrens he discovered recently
(at least I'm *hoping *you all agree I found them).
The weather was terrible (thick fog & raining) and at first I found nothing
but Juncos, but as soon as I started pishing near the site Bob saw them 3
wrens suddenly appeared and began scolding me.

Two of the three were duller in color which I assume makes them immature.
The other had more striking colors (tans & browns) and also dipped quite a
bit (similar to an American Dipper). I searched for Rock Wrens at this
same location yesterday with no luck (I found a House Wren and another wren
which I assumed to be a Rock but never got a good enough look at it).
Today I am fairly confident that these three were Rocks. Which totally
rocks!!! Or does it? Take a look at my pics and let me know what you
think. I'm a bit nervous as I've never seen them before so I could be
off...

Location: follow road L-1500 to top of hill. The road turns left and
becomes L-1510. Travel 1510 for a few miles until you see a rough parking
area on left with 3 options in it: trail head for Mountain View Trail, gate
L-1520 and an unmarked gate that is assumed to be L-1515. I was walking on
road 1515. Wrens were found approximately 1/2 mile up (stay to the left any
time the road Ys) on opposite side of road from the large rock outcrop (
