Hey Tweets!
I can't make it to the WOS conference this year, but will be headed over to Mason County for the last two days before my school responsibilities start back up again on Wednesday the 26th.
I'm hoping some of you in your trips home from Ocean Shores could work in a stop in Mason - Kennedy Creek is a pretty easy stop, and Theler may work for some? I'd love some fresh sightings to chase!
Also looking for leads on a boat. I'd like to spend time on one of those days motoring or paddling around the southern edge of the county, south of Hartstene, Hope and Squaxin Islands. Alcids are the main target, but why not terns, gulls, phalaropes or jaegers? I just have no plan at all for getting into said water, so I'm throwing out an optimistic plea... Erm... Invitation to be part of a unique year of birding in Mason County.
Needs list and "birds for thought" have been updated at www.masoncountybirding.blogspot.com.
Thanks in advance for leads, ideas, and especially thanks in advance for the guided kayak tour of the south edge of Mason. Ha! (But seriously, what is your bribe?)
Happy birding,
Tim Brennan
