Hello,



I enjoyed a nice-but-smoky few hours out in Eastern Lincoln and Western
Spokane counties this morning. Here are a few of the highlight



REARDAN PONDS (Lincoln) - 13 species of shorebirds. At one point I had a
Peregrine Falcon chasing up birds on the west pond while a Merlin was
stirring things up on the east pond. Water of course is very low, but it
could really be good for some late season shorebirding this year.

Semipalmated Plover(2) - looked pretty "sandy' but only because of the red
sun be8ing filtered by the smoke. Almost saved me a trip to Ocean Shores.

elevations right now



WEST PLAINS - COULEE HITE RD (Spokane)

PRAIRIE FALCON - with a Gray Partridge for lunch - 4th falcon of the day



WEST MEDICAL LAKE (Spokane)- South end of the lake developing some decent
shorebird habitat.
