Despite not viewing the sand plover at ocean city , we had much success and variety in
More common shorebirds :

Hoquiam Stp.-
Long billed dowitchers
Killdeer
Marbled godwits.
Least sandpipers
Wilson's snipe
Also lg numbers of caspian terns
And a young peregrine flying.

Ocean City-
Western sand pipers
Semi palmated plovers
Sanderlings
Whimbrels(4)
As many saw ,innumerable sooty shearwaters over the waves.

Point Brown Jetty-
Surf birds,6
Ruddy Turnstones,2
Black Turnstones,4
Wandering Tattlers,3

Game range.-
At low tide,greater yellowlegs,5
At high tide,
Huge mixed flock of
Western sandpipers
Least sandpipers
Semipalmated plovers.

American golden plover,1
Black bellied plovers,8

Midway ponds-mid tide
Bairds sandpiper,1
Red necked phalarope,1
Long billed dowitcher,1
Killdeer 3-4
All chased away by a young Peregrine

Grayland beach from state park entrance#5 .-
Walking to the 3rd post along the north south snowy plover boundary,
2 snowy plovers with 3 sanderlings.
13 sanderlings pretending to be snowy plovers!!

Tokeland-
Graveyard spit-
Marbled godwits, 4
Long billed curlew,1
Black turnstones,2
Gulls ?10,000
A couple of elegant terns scoped with caspian terns.

Dock area in Tokeland -
Willets,9
A few purple martins.
Great egret,1 scoped from the marina,in the northern part of willapa bay.

Bottle Beach , 1 hour before high tide-
Numerous Blackbellied plovers.
Shortbilled dowitchers,15+
Red knot,1
Dunlins,3
Marbled godwits,3
Willet,1
Semipalmated plovers,20+
Western sandpipers,numerous

We saw a couple of bald eagles,1 osprey, 10 turkey vultures at graveyard spit.
Some of the spots we visited more than once to check for tidal variation.
We saw a LOT of birders,which was very fun!
