Just click on any county on the map and you can get a checklist that has a code for how common a species is in that county. Thanks to the hard work by Ken and Laurie Knittle, these lists are updated on a regular basis and any new species reported are added. Just had a pair (first saw a single sit on a planter then go down to the ground and splay like it was sunning or going to take a dust bath) - then a pair took a nice long bath - splishing
and splashing. I did not see the tail to be as reddish or the flicking, but there was a definite eye ring.
Thought it was a robin at first, but a bit smaller - so glad I stayed on it.
Do Swainson's ever visit this area?
