Thursday evening I was waking trails in Lynndale Park looking for owls. I did not find any, but I came across a mystery bird.? I suspect it may be a common bird in juvie or molting plumage, which is making it hard for me to ID. It looked larger than a sparrow or wren and moved rather quickly on its feet along the trail as though it is a regular ground feeder.
Photos of the mystery bird can be seen by scrolling down page 48 past the photos of the Douglas' squirrel eating blackberries:Wildlife of Edmonds, WA. 2015 - Page 48
