I observed a Franklin's Gull sitting on the water, flying and sitting on
dock railing east of John Wayne Marina this afternoon. It is a first
summer bird. Bird migration after the storm yesterday in Gardiner was
significant. Highlights were numbers of Swainson's Thrush and Western
Tanager. Yard sightings totaled 55 species for the day. We are glad to
have our power back this evening.
