The first summer Franklin's Gull was at John Wayne Marina this afternoon on
the beach near the easternmost parking lot. It flew to the dock area
further east later in the afternoon. Michael Barry and Bob Bagwell saw the
bird.

At Dungeness Landing Park an Elegant Tern was flying and calling among five
Caspian Tern. One Willet was present and it flew by 30 feet in front of me
as I watched the terns.
