Hi all,

I?ve lived in So. Cal. and birded a lot in the SW. The bird in question here is definitely a Canyon Towhee. Canyon Towhees can show a slight crest, as in the photos. It is way too brownish for a titmouse, and the bill is not that of a Parid.
