Subject: [Tweeters] Yellow-throated Warbler--No (Dec 15 2015)

Hi tweets, just wanted to thank everyone who emailed me regarding birding
spots in Cowlitz and Clark counties. It definitely made the trip a lot less
stressful! Sadly, I missed the warbler in Longview...Which is
understandable, considering it was seen around one of the neighboring
homes...I wouldn't have thought to look there. I was, however, richly
rewarded with sightings of a few hundred Sandhill Cranes at the Woodland
Bottoms, and smaller flock at Post Office Lake and Ridgefield. Also at
Ridgefield were hundreds of Tundra Swans! Another cool sighting was of a
leucistic American Kestrel at Post Office Lake...It had white wingtips and
"shoulders" also! Though I missed my target rarity, I still had a great
time, and saw most of the other birds I wanted to see. Thanks again
everyone!
