We up in Everett-Marysville have benefitted in recent years from the services of a biker-birder who covered the Centennial Trail from immediately south of Lake Cassidy north to the circle's northeast edge near 204th, just west of Arlington proper. It is about a 12-mile run round trip with a lot of great songbird spots, the Lake Cassidy dock viewpoint, a couple open bogs with snags along the route, as well as open ground and much forest.

The second opportunity is to lead our intrepid kayak team down the Snohomish River, launching at Marysville and moving south down to the north end of Ebey Island and mysterious, wooded Otter Island. This is a really different experience and the kayakers are experts from the NSSKA, a North Sound kayaking group, they can provide gear, too.

Please let 'ol Scott know if either of these appeal to you, first come, first served.
