Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday December 24. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The Wireless Road GROUND-DOVE and the South Beach State Park MOUNTAIN PLOVER
continue to be seen. A HOODED ORIOLE and a BULLOCK?S ORIOLE were
photographed during the week at a Seaside feeder. A SPRAGUE?S PIPIT was
reported December 23 near Cape Blanco.

The December 20 Coos Bay Christmas Count recorded 162 species including many
BROWN PELICANS and RED PHALAROPES, 10 HEERMANN?S GULLS,, two SNOW BUNTINGS,
and two MANX SHEARWATERS.

A possible SNOWY OWL was reported December 20 near Deadwood in the Coast
Range near Mapleton. The Hatfield Science Center BULLOCK?S ORIOLE continues
to be seen. The Tillamook Bay Wetlands BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER continues.

On December 22 two KITTIWAKES were over the Columbia River near Broughton
Beach in North Portland. A group of swans along Anderson Road near Aurora
contained four TRUMPETER SWANS. Eight TRUMPETERS were recorded on the
December 19 Forest Grove Christmas Count.

A group of 14 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were seen December 18 in LaGrande.
