Hey Tweets!

On Tuesday, David Ness on Skookum Inlet found a Long-tailed Duck, the 200th bird found in the county this year!

For those seeking public access to Skookum (an awesome and nearly unbirded bit of water in Mason), you want to take Kamilche point Road 2-3 miles Northeast from Highway 101, there is a small access road on the right for Port Blakely tree farms which is publicly accessible at times: http://www.portblakely.com/pb-tree-farms/public-access-policy/policy A third to a half-mile walk down to the water takes you to a lovely little picnic table where you can sit and view.

Information better suited to someone already planning other stops in Mason than someone chasing a Long-tailed Duck, but I don't think I'd mentioned this spot specifically in any Tweeters posts.

Triple promise to get the entry from the last trip up today in the blog!
