Les Carlson and I also went up to Skamania Landing and viewed the Harris's Sparrow within minutes of our arriving at the site. We parked across the road from the feeder and watched it feed at the base of the short laurel hedge and in the grassy area along the road. Great views at close distance from the vehicle, which is nice considering the 30-50mph winds at 32 degrees made birding out of the vehicle unpleasant. My 251st Skamania County bird.
