Hi Tweets -
Went over to Douglas County on Saturday and Sunday looking for the Gyrfalcons, Snowy Owls, and Sharptails that everyone but me seems to be seeing.

No luck on any of the target species and still no Lapland Longspurs, but the weekend wasn't a total loss.

Saturday's highlight was a Red-necked Grebe at the Debris Basin above Chief Joseph Dam. Today there was Northern Pygmy-owl on the power line in Lamoine, which makes four NOPOs already this year without a visit to the Okanogan. The feathered baseballs are on the move.

I'm off to Tucson next week, so those of you staying behind should be prepared for a flood of spectacular rarities in the county.
