Subject: [Tweeters] Eide Rd Short and Long Ears

I have visited Eide Rd (near Stanwood) twice in the last few weeks and was
delighted to see the numerous Short-eared and a single Long-eared Owl each
time. When I've been to West 90 (in Skagit) in the winters I don't think
I've seen the Short-ears be as easily approachable as at Eide road. Seems
like there are probably a dozen or more short-ears at Eide Rd.

As a result I was able to get some of my best pictures of these two species.
Below is a link to a set of 9 photos including 1 of a Long-ear with a vole
on a pretty nice perch and 1 of a Short-ear where you can see the ear tuffs
well.
