At about 9:30 this morning I saw the ongoing male RUSTY BLACKBIRD at Crescent Lake (2 Rivers) near Monroe, very close to the north parking lot. Park at the north lot off Tualco Rd. Cross over the culvert and turn right. Immediately pass a row of trees on left. Almost immediately on the right, the bird was perched just above eye level. After a few minutes it retreated into the trees. Perhaps 20 minutes later the bird returned to the trail, perching on the ground not far from where it had perched in the tree.
