I visited Washington this summer for 10 days in July.
While in Mazama, I saw numerous Empidonax flycatchers which were
frustrating to identify. I photographed a few and am hoping that someone
on this list could help me with the identification. The photos are
mediocre.

I have attached a link below this paragraph to my flickr album of Empidonax
flycatchers from my trip. Click on the photos for larger images. The
first two birds in the album are labeled as Dusky Flycatchers. I thought
Dusky because the birds were mainly in small shrubbery, and occasionally
open woods with widely spaced pines. The third and last photo in the album
is what I think is a Hammond's Flycatcher. The bird was high up in a
large, mature stand of close-together pines on at the very beginning of the
Methow Community Trail. I would be very grateful if somebody could give me
some insight to the ID's of these birds! Thanks!
