Tweets ? the weather is so nice it?s scary. There was a hint of pre-dawn fog, but that cleared by sunrise. We were left with a warm, partly sunny, windless, rainless day. Water level was highest so far this winter, just barely puddling 1 section of the boardwalk. The birds were out and about, singing and loafing. Lots to see.

Along with the same list of birds singing last week, add VIRGINIA RAIL, NORTHERN FLICKER, and SPOTTED TOWHEE. An ANNA? S HUMMINGBIRD was doing display flights at the south end of the Dog Area.

For the day, 61 species! And I think we?re up to 79 species for 2015.
